The Taiwan-based RiTdisplay Corp., a reinvested company of Taiwan`s larges-sized disc maker RiTek Corp., has received orders for 35 million units of PMOLEDs (passive matrix organic light emitting diodes), with 30 million units to be delivered this year, making it the world`s No. 1 supplier of this product presently, according to Taiwanese market research institute Topology Research Institute (TRI).
At the moment, RiTdisplay is able to turn out PMOLEDs boasting the maximum diameter size of 1.98 inches, with sales to globally leading LED lighting brands contributing over 70% to the total.
To maximize its profits, RiTdisplay has applied touch ICs sourced from Italian STMicroelectronics and its OLED technology onto production of capacitive touch panels, and succeeded in working out 1.1-, 1.3-inch, and 3.1-inch models.
