In August 2011 Visionox start their 4.5Gen AMOLED project. The chinese company want to be production ready in 2013. Now Visionox developed a AMOLED panel for Tablet-Pcs. The panel has a size of 7.6 inch and has a WVGA resolution (800×480 pixel) with 16.7 million colors, 84% NTSC color gamut and 500 cd/m² brightness. This panel was made by the pilot line from Visionox.
In December 2010, KSFPD made a success in the field of LTPS TFT which could be used in AMOLED. In July 2011, Kunshan Visionox Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. (Kunshan Visionox Optoelectronics) was established to build AMOLED mass production line.
Visionox will invest a number of AMOLED production lines in the next few years. The product size will cover from 3 inches to 30 inches and its applications include mobile phones, computers, televisions and etc.
