The CES-2011 is the world largest Consumer electronic show. At the CES-2010 we saw a lot of new OLED prototypes and products.
Sony and Samsung show in 2010 new 3D OLED-Tv panels:

LG Display showcase a new 3D OLED panel for smartphones at the FPD-International-2010. The 3D AMOLED panel has a 320×360 pixel resolution and 16 million colours.In 2D the panel has a 360×640.
At the moment we got no more information about price, market entry etc.

AUO Showcases the Latest Display Technologies at Japan’s FPD International 2010. AUO showcase a new 14 inch 3D AMOLED TV panel with a Full HD resolution 1920×1080 pixel. This new AUO panel promise stunning 3D images with its fast response, high contrast ratio and wide viewing angles. A resolution of 1920×1080 is retained even while switching back and forth between 3D and 2D modes.

Samsung Mobile Display boost with the 5.5 gen plant the capacity of small and medium AMOLED Displays. But SMD plans now also a pilot line for large OLED-Tv panels. SMD want to verify the OLED-TV market and plans for 2012 a 8Gen line for large OLED-Television panels.

LG Display plans to unveil next-generation display technologies that demonstrate the endless
possibilities of displays, under the themes such as ‘Public Display, ‘3D’, ‘Touch’ and ‘Next-Generation Technologies.’

3D Displays

The SMD Vice President of Engineering Brian Berkeley says in an Interview that OLED TV is no longer a “science fair” project for Samsung.

Yesterday we wrote about that Samsung want to introduce a 42-inch trial production in 2010.

Brian Berkeley says also:

TVLogic, designer and manufacturer of broadcast and professional high definition monitors and displays, introduces two (LEM-150W, 15 inch OLED-Displays, a 2D and 3D stereoscopic model. The only manufacturerer on the market which can produce 15 inch OLED Panels is LG-Display.

An interesting statement from Sony today. He claims that in the long term OLED will be the future for both 2D and 3D Televisions and displays.

He says also that direct display technology – similar to plasma – is a better way to watch TV.

Sony is showing new 3D AMOLED prototypes at the CES-2010. The display does have 24.5 inch and is 3D ready, and a really amazing picture quality and contrast. Sony says this is only a prototype there are no release date price or anything.
