AUO Optronics plans to showcase the world largest 21:9 3D TV Panel and a interactive 3d Touch panel solution with video game applications. Also the company want to introduce a 65 inch QFHD 4K2K lenticular lens 3D LCD Tv panel.AUO will also showcase a 4″ 3D interactive touch panel suitable for use with smartphones, video game consoles and tablet PCs.

All this hot new gadgets AUO showcase at the FPD-International-2010 event in Japan from November 10 to 12.

Fraunhofer IPMS, is working on innovative autostereoscopic 3D displays with OLEDs as patterned backlight. At SID DisplayWeek 2009, an improved version of a 3,5 inch sized 3D QVGA display is shown that combines advantages of that technology like:

Large-area display OLED backlight (about 80 x 60 mm, supplying a 3.5 inch LCD modulator)
Highly-efficient and fast-response OLED top-emitter
Striped patterned backlight (stripe width 28 µm)
Individual electronic driving for adaptive backlight control (double-layer wiring integrated on the substrate)
