In an interview with Barry Young the managing director of the OLED-Association we got some insider information.
The big question is when we will see cost competitive OLED-TV panels which can compete to LCD and Plasma HDTVs.

Barry Young explain also the technical issues which have to be solved!

In 2012 Barry sees 30 to 40 inch OLED-Television devices in 1 to 2 million volume but the price will be very high.
In 2013 and 2014 Barry Young sees 5 to 6 million AMOLED-Tvs. In 2015 we will see 10 to 15 million Organic Television devices which are very competitive to LCD and Plasma devices.

Sony want to introduce two new professional OLED-Tv Monitors at the Hollywood Post Alliance Tech Retreat at 14-18 February.

The new 2D only OLED monitors are based on the same technology which Sony showed at the CES-2011. So that means that Sony want to introduce 24.5 inch monitors.

LG Electronics showcase at the CES-2011 the world slimmest OLED-Television with an bezel of 2.9 mm. LG Electronics told us that this 31 inch OLED-Television will be ready for the market in 2011 also in the United states.

Sony shows a new Glasses free 3d OLED Display at CES-2011.
With this 24.5 inch OLED Display you can enjoy 3d content without glasses. Sony has this OLED-Television on their 3D roadmap.

All we know right now is that the OLED-TV has a 24.5 inch screen size with 1920×1080 Pixel resolution.

Sony showcase at there CES-2011 press conference there 3D Television roadmap. At this roadmap we can see a 24.5 inch 3D-OLED-TV with 2K.Sony want also introduce a 56 inch 4K LCD Panel and a 46 inch 2K LCD Panel in the near future. Hope to get more infos tomorrow at the Sony booth!

Samsung will be introduce the lightest 3D glasses in the world at CES-2011.
In co-operation with the austrian company Silhouette Samsung reached the goal to reduce the weight by 10g.
The 3D glasses with advanced materials weight only 28g.
In addition the 3D glasses can detect if they are used or not with a automatically Auto Power on/off function.

LG Display informed us that they want to introduce a new 3D series named “Cinema 3D TV” LW6500 to the global market.
The series includes a 42,47,55, 65 inch version which LG show for the first time at CES-2011 in Las Vegas.

LG want to show also the brand new 3D FPR (film-type patterned retarder, polarized glasses) Panel.

LG Display showcase a new 3D OLED panel for smartphones at the FPD-International-2010. The 3D AMOLED panel has a 320×360 pixel resolution and 16 million colours.In 2D the panel has a 360×640.
At the moment we got no more information about price, market entry etc.
