KIA GT car with transparent OLED driver display

At the 2011 Frankfurt motor show KIA showcased a new concept car named the GT!. This car uses three transparent OLED panels to create a 3D effect for the instrument data and navigation. KIA use OLEDs also to control the climate. More and more the automobile industry also use OLED technology in their concept cars.

EDAG show OLED light car in Geneva

EDAG shows in Geneva the Oled lighting car, with its innovative light concept and minimalised lighting technology, the “Light Car Open Source” is one of the first vehicles to us OLED technology as a variable design and communication element. Not until it is started up does the Light Car Open Source with a body that looks as though it is made of glass, come to life and reveal its true looks.

Lexus 2010 RX with a white Oled cockpit

The cockpit of the Lexus 2010 RX has grown to include a dual-zone layout, featuring the ‘display zone’ and the ‘operation zone’. The ‘display zone’ centers around an eight-inch navigation and information display set back into the dash for visibility, while a white OLED adds multi-function information on a separate screen. The ‘operation zone’ features access and control of a large range of information via the ‘Remote Touch’ navigation controller and steering-wheel mounted switchgear.
