Samsung Mobile Display – showcases several OLED display panels, ranging in size from 2.6 to 14.1 inches, including panels already used in mobile devices and panels slated to appear in future devices. SMD, a new joint venture between Samsung SDI and Samsung Electronics, is a leading supplier of AMOLED displays used in mobile phones, as well as PMP, DSC, and DPF devices. SMD demonstrates other future concept devices including a transparent AMOLED, 3D AMOLED, and a foldable display based on AMOLED.

Sony show wristband Design concept with flex-OLED

Sony shows
The screen, dubbed “Flex OLED” by Sony, is just a few inches across, is manufactured on a thin sheet of plastic and can be gently bent while it’s showing video.

Video Interview and review of Sonys OLEDs at CES-2009

Sony shows Flexible OLED at CES-2009

Sonys CEO Sir Howard Stringer announced today a new Flexible OLED prototype!

The clearest sign of this innovation was Sir Howard’s live demonstration of Flex OLED, a colour screen you can bend.

Its appearance at Sony CEO Howard Stringer’s Thursday morning keynote is the first time the screen has been seen outside of Sony’s research and development labs and the first time it’s been seen live.
