Micro Technology’s exhibition booth at the JPCA show

Micro Technology Co Ltd has developed a new technology that makes ultra thin glass substrates for manufacturing of flat panel displays. This technology reduces the glass substrates’ thickness up to 20?m so that it can be integrated in flexible displays.

LG Display showcased a 20.7 inch AMOLED Display for medical use. This new Panel features a QSVGA (2560×2048 Pixel) 5M resolution, and a contrast ratio of more than 100.000:1.
With this high resolution and great contrast ratio this device is ideal for medical.

AU Optronics showcased at the FPD International event in Japan their 14-inch OLED Panel with Full HD resolution. AUO says that they are ready to start mass production of it. The resolution of that OLED Display is 157 ppi.

Samsung are showing a 23 inch OLED-TV or Computer Monitor prototype. This is the first video of this OLED Monitor from Samsung which is only 1.6 cm thin. The contrast should be about 2,000,000:1
