CMI presents 3.2- and 3.5-inch OLED panels
ChiMei Innolux Corp (CMI) presented a 3.2 and 3.5 inch OLED panel at FPD China 2011. The panels with a resolution of 320 x 480 (3.2 inch) and 360 x 640 (3.5 inch) have been developed for smartphones and mobile phones.
Both of the panels use a white OLED material and red, green, blue and white (transparent) colour filters. This method has been developed by LG Display Co Ltd and Eastman Kodak Co.
Features of the panels are 300cd/m2 brightness, contrast ratio of 30,000:1, their viewing angle is 160° in both the vertical and horizontal directions.
