Kyocera show a mobile phone with an flexible OLED Screen concept.
The design concept comes from Susan McKinney:
The concept Eos envisions a future where we have a more humanistic relationship with our phones. Appealing to our haptic senses, a soft, semi-rigid polymer skin surrounds a flexible OLED display. The metaphor of a “living” skin was used for its notions of protection and constant evolution, providing a heightened user experience.
The striking new Neo E1100 camera flip phone offers a desirable mix of key features, while also making a compelling design statement thanks to the brilliant blue light-pipe that is an integral part of the phone’s external housing. As calls or messages are received, the light-pipe “comes to life,” along with a “hidden” external OLED caller-ID display that reveals caller information. With another unique twist, the phone’s reverse hinge opens to reveal a large, vibrant 2.2-inch QVGA display.
