Lenovo introduce a new smartphone with an 3.7 inch AMOLED Display. The S760 features also a 1Ghz CPU, 512MB of RAM and a 5mp camera. The Lenovo S760 has a Android (v2.3). Lenovo will deliver this smartphone in China.

TDK start the mass production of a 2.4 inch transparent PMOLED Display for the smartphone market. The Pmoled features a QVGA (320×240)resolution and has a transmittance of 40$ and 150 cd/m² brightness.

Lenovo want to use this transparent OLED for the world first transparent feature phone, the S800!

Dialog Semiconductor today announced that the company’s first SmartXtend(TM) PMOLED driver IC, the DA8620, is being used by Lenovo in its recently launched transparent feature phone, the S800.

Lenovo introduce the powerful 3G business smartphone Lenovo music phone. The “candy bar” designed smartphone is equipped with a 3.7-inch AMOLED touch screen (480 × 800 resolution), Android 1.6, 3.2 megapixel digital camera and a 1GHz Qualcomm snapdragon cpu.

Lenovo music phone is at the moment only available in china.

Lenovo shows off their first smartphone at the CES 2010. The “LePhone” is andoird-based, 12 mm thick, 60 mm wide and sports a clean and shiny design. Further, it has a gorgeous 3.7 inch 800×480 OLED touch screen.

At its left side, LePhone has a nine-pin connector (with a magnetic cover) that allows users to add peripherals like the Lenovo docking station which includes an extra battery, QWERTY keyboard and speakers. This turns the phone into a neat looking handheld clamshell when used.

David Critchley, Lenovo’s ThinkPad marketing manager says in an interview that Lenovo is also thinking about adding a
multi-touch screen to future ThinkPads, and will consider releasing a slim model of its T500 with 15-inch OLED screen “if demand is there,” Carias said. Asus also want to bring out a high end notebook with an OLED in 2010. The panel can be delivered from LG Display.
