LG-Display and QD-Vision to Develop New Generation Quantum Dot LEDs QLEDS

QD Vision, Inc. and LG Display announced a joint development agreement focused on creating highly-efficient, high-performance active matrix displays based on electroluminescent quantum dot LED (QLED) nanotechnology. The display will require much less energy than current products, while producing brighter, richer colors.

The National Energy Technology Laboratory, on behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), is pleased to announce its selections for solid-state lighting (SSL) funding opportunities. Fourteen projects were chosen in response to Core Technology and Product Development Funding Opportunity Announcements.
