The Samsung Wave with the SUPER AMOLED is not yet official, but a great deal of information about it has already leaked out. The Super AMOLED is much more better visibillity in sunlight! Samsung suggested that this new Super OLED is five times more vivid than regular and performs 20 percent better when it is used outdoor.

Samsung SHW-M100S

Samsung introduce in Korea the SHW-M100S with an 3.7 inch WVGA AMOLED Touchscreen Display. The SHW-M100S runs with Android 2.1 on a 800Mhz processor, has a 5Mp camera, 720p video recording, Wi-Fi, GPS, T-DMB, DivX support and social-networking-service.
No news on pricing for the phone, nor whether it might make it over to the US or Europe.

World first AMOLED with integrated touch function from SMD

The Koreatimes and JKnews are reporting that Samsung Mobile Display will begin mass producing the world’s first touch function AMOLED panel starting in March. This product is known as Samsung’s 3.3 inch WVGA (480X800) resolution AMOLED.

2 inch Electronic ID OLED operated by RF power from Samsung

Rf powered AMOLED technology is used for the enhanced electronic ID cards, taking security to a higher level. It can also securely store biographical information and digital imagery in the card. The screen requires no additional battery power, and instead can draw power from a nearby RF-powered source that is AMOLED adapted.
Some potential applications for the prototype include:
ID document e-id: eVisa on passport, driver licenses
Dynamic security feature for banking & e-commerce online transactions; credit cards
