At SID-2010 Sang-Soo Kim, executive vice president and chief technology officer of Samsung Mobile Display says at the keynote:

From the opening keynote through more than a hundred papers, panels, and poster sessions, the Society for Information Display’s Display Week in Seattle this week featured OLEDs.

LG Display shows a new 15 inch W-Oled panel at the SID-2010. With this new technology LG Display can improve lifetime and avoid discolouration. The problem is that green is brighter, red does have a higher lifetime than blue. In a standard panel the aging process starts immediately, so the brightness from the RGB colours have to be checked do avoid colour changes at the panel.

Sony shows a 11.7 inch OLED Display with oxide semiconductor TFTs as its driver elements at SID-2010.

With this technology Sony suggest a lifetime of 10 years or more.

The panel is developed from the research laboratory in Atsugi Kanagawa Japan.

Sony introduced at SID-2010 a stunning rollable OLED Display with OTFT technology.

At SID-2009 we show a bendable OLED at SID-2010 the panel is rollable!

Dupont show a printed 4.3 inch HD1080/16 AMOLED at SID-2010.

This AMOLED is manufactured by PVI on a amorphous silicon backplane.

Samsung show a stunning transparent 46 inch LCD Display with touch function. In the demo Samsung showcased some wine bottle if a visitor touch the display the LCD Display show some information about this bottle. This is really amazing and can be used for display windows. The Display use the ambient light, and if its to dark the display use LEDs at the border of the LCD.

Sony is introduce a rollable OLED Display at the SID-2010 event in Washington. The Flexible OLED measures 4.1 inch an is just 80 um thick. To reach the goal of a rollable display sony developed OTFTs organic thin film transistors with original organic semiconductor material.

The rollable OLED does have a resolution of 121 ppi 432×240 pixel and 16.8 million colors, contrast of 1000:1

Samsung mobile Display show a 19 inch transparent AMOLED Display at the SID-2010.Samsung Mobile Display can reach more than 30% transparency. Samsung want to use this product at Notebooks as shown at CES-2010, car windshield glass and for advertising at department stores.
