OLED-Television at CES-2009
Announced Sony the XEL-2 at CES-2009?
Sir Howard Stringer, Chairman and CEO, Sony Corporation, will then officially kick off the 2009 International CES. Sir Howard has been chairman and chief executive officer of Sony Corporation since June 2005. He is also a representative corporate executive officer of Sony Corporation. Additionally, Sir Howard serves as chairman and CEO of Sony Corporation of America, as well as corporate head of Sony Corporation’s Entertainment Business Group.
It is possible that Sony introduce the XEL-2 27-inch OLED Television into the market!
The XEL-2 does have 27-inch and a Full HD resolution.
The 27-inch model is incredibly 10 millimeters thin panel and offers over 1,000,000 :1 contrast ratio with outstanding brightness, exceptional color reproduction, and a rapid response time. For a few month Sir Howard Stringer said:
Within the next 12 months, we haven’t given a date,” he said when asked to be more specific on timing.
50 inch OLED TV Prototyp from Samsung?
Samsungs Vice President HS Kim said for a few days that Samsung may demonstrate a 50 inch OLED TV at the CES show in January, though we haven’t decided yet. Yes we are sure Samsung show us the world largest OLED Television a 50 inch Amoled panel.
Woo Jong Lee, vice president of the Mobile Display Marketing Team of Samsung SDI said: We are expecting 5-inch or larger OLED panels to be the mainstream in 2009 or 2010.
So maybe we see some Notebook Prototype with a AMOLED Display?
This could be a Mini Notebook or a Netbook with a 12.1 inch AMOLED Display.
LG Display 15-inch AMOLED Display
LG Display Showcases also new OLED Prototypes at FPD International 2008 15-inch AMOLED Panel, so we are sure this panel prototype we can also see at CES-2009.
CMEL 25-inch AMOLED Display
CMEL aTaiwanese display maker has developed a 25-inch screen that’s less than a millimeter thick at the FPD INternational.
The screen has a resolution of 1,366 pixels by 768 pixels (WXGA) and can display 16.7 million colors.
So can we see this CMEL panel also in Las Vegas?
