Guangzhou-based Zhongxian Technology launched China’s first active-matrix organic light emitting diode (AMOLED) project with investment of HK$500 million in Foshan, Guangzhou province on November 7, reports qq.com. The project will begin production in September 2009 and is expected to produce 50 million 2-inch AMOLED screens per year for annual sales revenue of more than RMB 50 billion, said the report.
China’s first passive-matrix OLED line began production in Kunshan, Jiangsu province on October 8.
