CMO announces investments in OLED and LED subsidiaries

Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO) recently announced it will make additional investments in its OLED subsidiary Chi Mei EL Corporation (CMEL), and a newly formed LED LCD subsidiary, Chi Mei Lighting, of NT$600 million (US$18.12 million) and NT$595 million, respectively, according to a recent filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE).In late August, CMO announced the purchase of a total of 52.2 million shares at another LED subsidiary, Chi Li Lighting, to fund equipment procurement
