Canon still working on SED-Tv filed two new patents
On 30. April 2009 Canon filed two new SED-Display related patents at the US Patent & Trademark Office.
The patent descibe a solution on how electric fields in SEDs can be reduced in their size, and also a way to improve picture quality. There are also some rumors that Canon will be focus the broadcast market for their SED-TV Displays.

Canon want to implement OLEDs in their digital cameras in the near future
In an interview from Cnet with Canons Chuck Westfall they talk about also about OLED Displays in Canons Digital cameras.
Canon a few years ago demonstrated a 5D with an OLED screen. I just saw some cheap OLED keychain displays that cost $60 or so. What's the timeframe for building OLEDs instead of LCDs in the cameras? It's a much higher-quality image and I there might be battery advantages as well.

Canon, the Japanese consumer electronics group, is clear to launch a new type of television after winning a patent lawsuit that has delayed its progress for more than three years.
