After the presentation of Samsungs new Super AMOLED Display at the MWC-2010 event, there are some rumors that Apple could be the be the first OEM to implement Super AMOLED in the next generation Iphone 4G.

The Koreatimes and JKnews are reporting that Samsung Mobile Display will begin mass producing the world's first touch function AMOLED panel starting in March. This product is known as Samsung's 3.3 inch WVGA (480X800) resolution AMOLED.

Displaysearch published its latest Quarterly OLED Shipment and Forecast Report, they reported that worldwide OLED revenues shattered its previous record, reaching $252 million in revenue for Q3’09, up 31% Q/Q.

SMD or Samsung Mobile Display want to buy a 3.5 G (730x460mm) AMOLED vapor deposition machine.
The deposition machine are installed in the Cheon-an factory which increase the capability to 24K when the 1st, 2nd, 3rd lines are combined.

But thats not all SMD plans to install two 3.5 machines, one of the machine early next year. With this two new machines SMD are doubling the total annual capability.

Samsung Electronics announced that 5 percent of 200 million units of mobile phones comes with an AMOLED Display (10 million units).

Displaysearch reportet that the worldwide OLED revenue has set a new record, 192 Million Dollar in the second quarter 2009. This is more about 32% as in the first quarter 2009, and 22 % more then in 2008.

The global OLED market in 2016 is about 6.2 billion dollar.

Samsung Mobile Display plan to build a new AMOLED Display line in South Korea, next year. The market for OLED Displays is growing steadily says Kang Ho-Moon President of SMD Display.

Regarding the supply-and-demand cycle for next-generation flat-screens, Kang said the market has been on the "right path" thanks to increasing demand for screens for mobile devices, including cellphones.
