Sony stop selling XEL-1 OLED-TV in Japan

Sony ends to sell the world first OLED-Television device XEL-1 in Japan.
Sony:OLED and Plasma are the best technology for 3D
An interesting statement from Sony today. He claims that in the long term OLED will be the future for both 2D and 3D Televisions and displays.
He says also that direct display technology - similar to plasma - is a better way to watch TV.

Sonyinsider interviewed Stan Glasgow Glasgow the president of Sony electronics and asked him if Sony plan to introduce a new OLED-Television in 2010.
In 2009 there are some rumors that Sony want to introduce the KDL-ZX OLED Television series in 2010.

The korean companies SMD Samsung Mobile Display and LG Display have plans to make big investments in the AMOLED market. But there are some bad news, CMEL sees its factory operating only 40 percent of its equipment. The main problem are the financial trouble of CMO (mother company of CMEL)
