Toshiba show a 4.15 -inch long-life OLED

Toshiba Mobile Display (TMD) show a new 4.15 inch AMOLED for the first time, this OLED features a wide viewing angle and deeper black than LCD displays to provide a sparkling color image with fast response. The thin and light long-life OLED display, which uses small molecule organic materials and a top emission structure, has a 60,000 hours MTTF this are nearly seven years at 200cd/m.
Panasonic and Toshiba want to introduce 37 inch OLED TV in 18 months

There are new rumors that Panasonic want to introduce a 37 inch OLED Television device within 18 months to 2 years.
This information comes from the Senior Panasonic executive which were in Australia. He said that Panasonic is currently researching HD OLED Televisions.
Toshiba to buy out Panasonic LCD venture and set focus to OLEDs
Toshiba Corp said it would buy out its LCD joint venture with Panasonic Corp for about 2 billion yen ($20.3 million), aiming to speed up decision-making and restructuring to turn around the loss-making venture.
Toshiba will buy Panasonic's 40 percent stake in Toshiba Matsushita Display Technology, which is the world's second-largest maker of small and midsized LCD panels used in cellphones, car navigation systems and other devices.
After making the venture wholly owned and changing its name to Toshiba Mobile Display Co, Toshiba plans to focus on OLED Displays it said.
Toshiba enhance light extraction efficiency of OLED TVs and lighting equipment
Toshiba Corp exhibited a technology that can significantly enhance light extraction efficiency of OLED TVs and lighting equipment at the International Nanotechnology Exhibition & Conference.
OLED is anticipated to become an important light-emitting device for the next generation," Toshiba said in a statement.
The new technology is designed to form patterns called "nano-grating," which have a pitch of several hundred nanometers, on a SiO2 substrate.
