CSEM is active in the field of Polymer- LEDs, -photodiodes, and -transistors. Polymer semiconductor devices are comparatively easy to process, low-cost, mechanically flexible, and can be manufactured according to customer needs. The long term goal of our activity is their combination to integrated all-organic optoelectronic sensor circuits for physical, chemical, and biological probing applications. Currently CSEM investigates different cost-effective patterning technologies, which are roll-to-roll compatible like screen-printing, ink-jet printing and nano-imprinting.
