Asus Design show Waveface design concept with flexible OLED devices
Asus shows at the CES-2010 a design concept with an OLED wristband, and a foldable Notebook also with OLED technology. The Asus staff told us that Asus plans to realize this devices with flexible OLED Displays. Asus want to introduce this products in the next 3 years.
The concept is called Waveface and it sits at the core of three exciting designs that combine already familiar ideas with more nascent technologies.

Google want to build own branded Netbook which comes 2010 also with OLED?
After the unreleased mobile phone from Google (Nexus One) where are some new rumors that Google want to build a own branded Netbook.
Like the Nexus One it is possible that the Google netbook does also have an AMOLED Display.
Middle 2010 the price from 10 inch OLED panels could be fall dramatically. All major manufacturer invests a lot of money for new production lines.

Samsung showcased a Netbook with a 7 inch OLED Display. The resolution of the AMOLED Screen is 1024x600 pixels, and does have a 16:9 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 and a 1.000.000:1 contrast ratio.
Samsung also show a hybrid desktop notebook with an 14 inch AMOLED Display. The resolution of this dream display is 1366x768 pixel. The display is only 2.7 mm thick!


The flexible OLED Laptop Rolltop
The video shows it all but the "laptop" has a flexible OLED display that is also capable of multitouch. When rolled out it becomes a 17-inch flat screen but can also be folded into a 13-inch tablet of sorts.
The device of the flexible display allows a new concept in notebook design growing out of the traditional bookformed laptop into unfurling and convolving portable computer.
On top of everything else all computer utilities from power supply through the holding belt to an interactive pen are integrated in Rolltop. This is really an all-in-one gadget.
AMOLED revenue has set a new record in Q2 2009

Displaysearch reportet that the worldwide OLED revenue has set a new record, 192 Million Dollar in the second quarter 2009. This is more about 32% as in the first quarter 2009, and 22 % more then in 2008.
The global OLED market in 2016 is about 6.2 billion dollar.
Intel show Notebook with three OLED Screens above the keyboard

Under the codename Tangent Bay Intel show the first multitouch, multiscreen concept solution.
Intel show a concept Notebook with four Displays. Above the keyboard there are 3 OLED Screens. On that OLED Displays you can organize information.
Samsung want to introduce Notebooks with OLED in 2010
Samsung says at the IFA-2009 that the company want to introduce the first commercial OLED laptops a year from now.
Patrick Povel European Senior Product Manager from Samsung says: And as soon as it's available commercially for laptops we will adopt it," he said. After a hushed word from a colleague he added the reveal: "Probably sometime Q3 next year."

Rumors in Korea are saying that LG Display has been testing OLED panels with a new touch screen technology for Apple. The main goal is to find a technology that is fingerprint resistant like the new iPhone 3GS which are announced from Apple at Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco.
