Sony stop selling XEL-1 OLED-TV in Japan

Sony ends to sell the world first OLED-Television device XEL-1 in Japan.

Sony to introduce the XEL-2 OLED-Tv at the IFA-2009?
There are new rumors that Sony want to introduce the second generation from their Oled-Television device the XEL-2 at the IFA-2009 in Berlin.

We are waiting for the follower of the first Oled Television from Sony the XEL-1, this week Sony are showing a 21 inch OLED-TV panel at the Japan Display 2009 Event. This 21 inch device does have a resolution about 1366x768 pixel and is only 1 cm thick. The contrast ratio is 1.000.000:1 like the XEL-1
Sony's XEL-1 OLED TV coming to Australia
While the 11-incher has been out in the States for a year, Sony has announced that the XEL-1 will be available in mid-April 2009 in Australia.
Final pricing is still being determined, but Sony says it will be between AU$6,000 and AU$8,000.
In the last two months Sony introduced the first OLED-TV XEL-1 in Europe for 4000 Euros.
Sony's OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) TV, the XEL-1, is truly the next big thing in television technology.

Sony launches the XEL-1 Bravia in the UK
Sonys XEL-1 goes on sale in the United Kingdom for £3,489 (5000 Dollar).
Sony said that it has received “hundreds” of pre-orders from British consumers. Most of the models sold in Japan, where they went on sale last year, ended up in people’s studies as desktop televisions, or in kitchens.
The XEL is first going on sale in Sony’s shops this week, and in mainstream shops, such as John Lewis and Currys, in March.
