LG Display will release 40-inch OLED Panel in 2012

At FPD-International in Japan LG Display published their OLED roadmap for the next years. Won Kim LG Displays OLED sales and marketing VP says that LG Display want to introduce after the 15 inch panel to produce a 20 inch in 2010 a 30 inch and larger in 2011. The 40 inch OLED Television panels are coming in 2012.
AUO Ready to mass produce 14-inch Full-HD OLED-Panel

AU Optronics showcased at the FPD International event in Japan their 14-inch OLED Panel with Full HD resolution. AUO says that they are ready to start mass production of it. The resolution of that OLED Display is 157 ppi.
Samsung OLED-TV can compete against LCD in 2013-2014
At FPD International in Japan the vice president Kim from Samsung spoke about the future of OLED-Television. Kim thinks that OLED panels in the size from 40 to 50 inch can compete against LCD technology in 4 to 5 years.
Samsung mobile display produce AMOLED in the 4th generation production line. The next step is to enter the Netbook and Notebook market with OLED Displays.
The production lines does have a manufacturing quality of 90 percent, and the life times from the new Amoled Displays are about 50.000 hours.
Samsung show Netbook with a 7 inch AMOLED
Samsung showcased a Netbook with a 7 inch OLED Display. The resolution of the AMOLED Screen is 1024x600 pixels, and does have a 16:9 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 and a 1.000.000:1 contrast ratio.
Samsung also show a hybrid desktop notebook with an 14 inch AMOLED Display. The resolution of this dream display is 1366x768 pixel. The display is only 2.7 mm thick!


Samsung show 2-inch transparent OLED display

Samsung Mobile Display show a 2 inch transparent OLED display at the FPD International 2009.
At the FPD-International, a mirror is placed behind the display to show that the back side of the display also shows an image.
LG Display show 15-inch transparent AMOLED

LG Display show at the FPD-International 2009 in Japan a wide range of OLED Displays. The organic display products ranging in size from 2.67-inch to 20.7-inch.
The highlight is the world largest 15-inch transparent AMOLED Display.
