Samsung says at the IFA-2009 that the company want to introduce the first commercial OLED laptops a year from now.

Patrick Povel European Senior Product Manager from Samsung says: And as soon as it's available commercially for laptops we will adopt it," he said. After a hushed word from a colleague he added the reveal: "Probably sometime Q3 next year."

The Xperia X2 will feature an 8.1 inch megapixel camera, Windows Mobile 6.5, 3.2 inch touch screen display made with an AMOLED display, which puts out a resolution of 800 x 480.

The handset is due for release in Q4 to selected markets. The handset, along with featuring Windows Mobile 6.5, will also feature 13 pre loaded panels. A 4GB microSD will also be included in the box.

LG Display are announced more technical details about the world largest OLED monitor.

LG Display said in a statement that it would be unveiling a 15-inch AM-OLED TV at the IFA 2009 consumer electric show in Berlin in September.
This gorgeous 15" screen is probably the single most decadent piece of hardware I've seen in my life.
