Samsung Mobile Displays A2 line from the world first 5.5G AMOLED production line in Cheonan will be ready for mass production in June 2011. In June 2010 SMD starts to install the new production line.
Samsung need this new production line to deliver OLED panels also to other smartphone producers.
Samsung Electronics said that its newest smartphone Galaxy S ll with Super-Amoled-Plus has reached 3,000,000 pre-orders globally as of the end of April. Another 5.5G production line must be delayed to the first quarter of 2012. With a 5.5G line SMD can also produce 8 to 27 inch OLED-Tv panels for the Tablet-Pc or Netbook/notebook market.
