At the CES-2012 LG introduced the 55EM9600 a 55 inch OLED-Television device. LG wins with this new device the CNET award Best of CES! Today we show you the first comparison with the 55 inch OLED-Display against a LCD-LED Smart-Tv also from LG. The differents is really amazing, please tell us what you think about the comparison via our Facebook Fanpage.
The winning LG measures just 4mm in depth, “three credit cards thick” as LG’s Tim Alessi cooed accepting the award, and boasts a bezel around the screen just 1mm wide. It’s basically all gorgeous picture.

OLED is potentially the best TV technology ever, and CNET editors agreed that 2012 would be the year of the organic diode.

I would like to see them side by side, set with equal brightness values.
In order to see the real difference using our old tech computer monitor, I think we would need at least 2 additional pictures, one underexposed (where white should look brighter on OLED) and one overexposed (where blacks should look darker in OLED).
Using HDR technique but not merging all the pictures.
OLEDs will be the perfect technology to show real HDR images, just should have higher bit count for additional color depth…
