Personalized mobile information systems and devices have become an indispensable part in the everyday life (cell phones/Smartphone, PDA, PNA, Organizer, Notebook, etc.). These devices normally display information optically or acoustically with a rather low or if necessary consciously controlled information context and they are operated manually. Micro displays, comparable to conventional displays regarding the number of pixel but with a considerable smaller total size, have entered the field of consumer products as e.g. electronic camera view-finders. The breakthrough of multimedia applications with micro displays based on OLED, e.g. video and data displays fixed close to the head (Head-Mounted Displays/HMD) is foreseen for the upcoming years.
