The Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems ramp up a OLED production in Gwangju, South Korea.
Fraunhofer and their Korean partner Renetec have signed a co-operation of understanding to invest about 140 million euros in that project.
Up to 25% of the planned investment will be covered by Fraunhofer Institute’s OLED-related technology by 2013. This production center has the focus on OLED lighting.
The project will be carried on with Fraunhofer Institute’s technology and Renetec’s fund raising programs. The total investment reflects the conversion value of the researcher’s technology, a city official said.
