Leadis Technology Announces Low-Cost 4 Gray Scale Monochrome OLED Driver


Leadis Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: LDIS), a leading mixed-signal semiconductor developer of color display driver ICs for small panel displays, today announced sample availability of the LDS519, a mono OLED driver IC with integrated controller supporting 4 gray 96x64 and 48-Icons. Integrating 13K bits of full frame memory, the LDS519 is a highly integrated SoC designed to provide vivid and accurate images for MP3 player and mobile phone sub-display applications.

The device inherits all the features of the LDS511, one of the most successful OLED drivers, but offers low cost to give customers the flexibility to prolong it useful lifetime on a wide variety of mobile applications. The interface of LDS519 supports the 80/68 series and Serial MPU interface. The 48 Icons with internal DC-DC helps low power consumption in waiting mode of mobile phone set. And LDS519 can adjust frame frequency for display quality and reference current for brightness of display. LDS519 has an input data order selection function to enhance the flexibility of the module design.
The LDS519 4 grey 96x64 OLED LCD driver IC is a highly integrated high-performance device with integrated display RAM, on-chip oscillator, DC-DC Converter for driving icons and frame frequency adjustment. In addition, the LDS519 includes programmable display features such as area scrolling and partial display for enhanced screen performance. The 519 is designed to work with either COG and COF packages.
