LG Display which show at CES-2009 15-inch Amoled Television prototypes.
In the third quarter 2009 LG Display plans to start a trial production of the new AMOLED line. After that LG Display plans 2010 to start production of Amoled TV in the Paju factory.
LG Display also plans in addition to the general display applications, to develop other emergin applications with the flexible active matrix organic light emitting technology. The major goal from LG Display is to develop new products with Flexible AMOLED panels. The relevant technology comes from Universal Display, which also show some Flexible Amoled panel for the US Army at the CES-2009. LG display use this technology for the development of new consumer products. LG Display want to start this development in 2009/2010.
