Higher Resolution for Mobile Displays – AH-IPS Technology
LG Display will exhibit its 4.5-inch ultra high resolution AH-IPS display device (329 ppi – pixel per inch, unit for pixel density) in comparison with a 4.3-inch AM OLED display device (217 ppi). LG Display compares two products about four critical factors for display quality – resolution, surface heat, color gamut, and power consumption.
AH-IPS which has been developed to be optimized for mobile devices, becomes particularly valuable when the emphasis is on displaying highly detailed images. The technology also improves display’s color accuracy, which in turn leads to reproduce the original color precisely without color distortion. In addition, it provides greater light transmission which translates into lower power consumption.
Next Generation 3D – FPR 3D Technology
LG Display will also provide a comparison experience between 47-inch FPR 3D TV and 46-inch SG 3D TV.
FPR 3D technology offers clear health benefits over SG 3D technology such as eliminating the main causes of headaches and dizziness – flicker and crosstalk – while offering a full HD viewing environment with higher brightness and a higher refresh rate than SG 3D. Also the FPR 3D glasses, which weigh the same as standard glasses, are significantly lighter than SG 3D glasses which require batteries.
Public Display Technology for Information and Advertising
As a leading company in public display market, LG Display unveils the newest 55-inch LCD panels for public display, installing a 165-inch multi-screen display consisting of nine display units in a 3×3 format. The new public display panel comes with the narrowest bezel that creates a 5.3 mm gap (top/left: 3.4 mm, bottom/right: 1.9 mm) between individual panels when displayed alongside each other.
The public display panel is accompanied by LG Display’s 47-inch LED backlight LCD display with 2000nit brightness that is four times brighter than normal TVs, which makes outdoor visibility while preventing blackening.
