LG Display to invest 100M$ in new production line and increase capacity in existing line


LG Display invest also in the AM OLED Display technology, and want to construct a new AM OLED production line in Paju Gyeonggi. 100 Million Dollar costs the new OLED factory.

LG Display plan to upgrade equipments in the existing AM OLED line in Gumi during August and September in order to increase monthly capacity from 50,000 units to 200,000 units by the end of the year.

LG Display's AM OLED production line will most likely to be located in the P8 factory within LCD Cluster. LG Display plan to mass produce in Paju AM OLED production line from 2010 such that the plant will focus on manufacturing mobile-phone-use main display along with less than 10inch (25.4cm) PMP and navigation-use display.

This new 4G line will be injected with Low Temparature Poly-Silicon (LTPS) substrate that two 730x460mm substrates are planned to be manufactured through the plating process; monthly capacity will be flexible.
