LG Display want to introduce a 55 inch OLED-Television in mid 2012.
The CEO from LG-Display Kwon Young-soo says:
Instead of investing in OLED displays for mobile applications, the company will now put all its efforts into large screen sizes for TVs: LG-Display will launch a 55-inch OLED TV by the second half next year!
LG Display do not concentrate on small-medium sized AMOLED displays for smartphones and tablet. Kwon sees here the future with the current AH-IPS LCD display technology.
Initial production volume would be only tens of thousands of units due to limited production facilities, but we will expand them to a mass production system, observing market reactions.
For a few weeks LG-Display produce small AMOLED panels for the smartphone market. As a example the first customer of these panels is Nokia.
LG plans to expand its monthly OLED output capacity to 12,000 glass sheets in the latter half of 2011, from the current 4,000. It plans to mass produce OLEDs in the third quarter this year.
‘We will make no more investment in the sector, judging that the OLED business is relatively less profitable than other products in the mobile sector.’

Watch the heavens, watch the sky, watch as the days go passing by. “It” will come this I know because a watcher told me so. Now I know what I must do for I have become a watcher too. When you know the end is near, watch and wait for “it” to appear. The watchers know things not of this world. They have been watching man since they were put on this earth. Watch “it’s” coming, will be here soon. Now you’ve been told the watchers are here, watch and wait because this all you can do unless you become a watcher to.
Remember the watchers are watching you!!!
