LOPE-C International Organic and Printed Electronics Convention to debut in Frankfurt, Germany from June 23-25, 2009
the Organic Electronics Association (OE-A) will
host the world premiere of LOPE-C, the Large-area Organic and Printed
Electronics Convention. Experts from commerce and research will meet
at the Congress Center, Messe Frankfurt to exchange knowledge and ideas
on opportunities, products and developments in the field of organic and
printed electronics.
“Organic and printed electronics will become one of the most significant
technologies of the next several decades,” says Wolfgang Mildner,
Chairman of the OE-A. “LOPE-C will take place annually in order to satisfy
the growing information needs of end-users, manufacturers and
developers.”
Andrew Hannah, Vice Chairman of the OE-A and CEO of USA-based
Plextronics, says, “As the key industry association for organic electronics,
it is our pleasure to host an international trade conference of this quality.
The more collaboration we can facilitate, the faster our industry will
develop.”
Parallel to the conference an exhibition will take place where companies
and R&D institutes can present their products and solutions for end-users
from the fields of energy production, consumer goods, packaging, logistics
and medical technology, to name a few. Organic Electronics can, for
example, be used as flexible solar cells, printed Radio Frequency
Identification (RFID) tags, rollable displays, energy-efficient lighting or
disposable diagnostic devices.
OE-A will partner with Messe Frankfurt Ausstellungen GmbH (MFA) in
Wiesbaden for this event. MFA is a 100% subsidiary of Messe Frankfurt
GmbH and will be responsible for the complete organization and marketing
of LOPE-C.
“We specialize in efficiently establishing innovative and sophisticated
special interest events in the international trade show market”, says Thomas
Schuetz, Managing Director of MFA. He describes this as the core
competence of his company.
OE-A General Manager Dr. Klaus Hecker is looking forward to working with
MFA. “In OE-A and MFA we have two specialists that will effectively support
this emerging industry as it develops into an important market in the future.”
