The researchers from the National Physical Laboratory in New Delhi developed graphene quantum dots-based material that may lead to cheap and efficient solar cells and OLED displays. This new GQD material isn‘t composed of toxic metals anymore so there won’t be any problems for large-scale device applications.

Using GQD-based material could lead to light weight, flexible, cost-effective OLED-panels and roll to roll manufacturing.
