MicroEmissive Displays wins Headset Design for eyescreen
MED, the AIM listed designer and manufacturer of low-power light emitting polymer displays, today announces that its revolutionary eyescreen™ display has been designed into wearable mobile media headsets by a leading global manufacturer.
Estar Displaytech Co. Ltd, a leading global manufacturer and supplier of virtual display products, has recently taken delivery of 60,000 units of eyescreen™, the smallest display screen in the world. Based in Hong Kong, Estar manufactures eyewear for mobile TV, video and 3D cinema. Its personal display headsets incorporating eyescreen™ are being shipped by Estar to distributors for retail in the Asia Pacific markets.
Commenting on the announcement, Bill Miller CEO of MED said: “We are delighted to see our eyescreen™ in high quality finished products. This demonstrates the progress we are making with our design in activities and we are confident that orders of this nature, with leading clients such as this, will culminate in substantial additional volume orders being placed.”

Our aim is to establish eyescreen™ as an industry-standard display component, which is easy to incorporate in existing headset designs, as well as wider applications, from any global manufacturer, enriching the end user experience.”
