Modistech, a Korean company who ventured in the OLED industry in 2001 is at present manufacturing flexible OLEDs. This makes them the only Korean company that focuses on flexible OLED surface lighting. They are seeking and developing more ways to improve and optimize colors white, orange and red for its plans of commercializing OLEDs for desk lamps, and exterior/interior lighting for cars. Using OLEDs fo interior lighting like the glove box light, foot light and trunk light will prevent glaring and therefore less eye fatigue for users since OLED lights are close to natural lighting.
These indirect applications will not require high levels of luminance which also makes them suitable for buildings, furniture, kitchenware and even airplanes.
Modistech plans to commercialize 150x150mm flexible OLED indirect lighting this year.
