OLED-Displays at Digital Experience and CES-2010 in Las Vegas
OLED Introduction
OLEDs offer the best video you´re going to see from any current display technology. Their color range equals or exceeds NTSC standards. Contrast ratios in the range of 1.000.000 to 2.000.000:1 make those colors look even more brilliant. Best of all, each frame of video is crisp as OLEDs refresh in microseconds, as opposed to milliseconds to LCDs, and there is no loss of contrast at off angles. Oleds are also thinner and lighter weight than Lcds primarily because they do not require backlight and two polarizers. Oleds use low temperature processing and have been demonstrated to be compatible with flexible backblanes which would make the end device even thinner and curvable

Samsung Mobile Displays AMOLED technology results in products that have never been thought of before, such as paper thin, flexible, 3D, foldable, and dual displays.
Samsung Mobile Displays shows world first 14-inch qFHD Transparent OLED for Notebooks.
SMD shows this transparent OLED Display in an Notebook prototype. When the screen is off the prototype has up to 40% transparency. The average amount of transparency in the industry is below 25 percent. This Notebook was really amazing.
Samsung Mobile Display 14-inch qFHD 3D OLED prototype
This 14 inch 3D panel is the world first OLED Display that features qFHD resolution 960×540 pixel, a contrast ratio of 100.000:1, a color gamut of over 100% NTSC and a ultra slim desing with a panel thickness of only 1,6 mm.
2 inch Electronic ID OLED powered by RF Power
An electronic ID card prototype featuring a new chip that stores personal information like an identification number.
RF powerd Amoled technology is used for the enhanced electronic ID cards, taking security to a higher level. This screen requires no additional battery power, and instead can draw power from a nearby RF powered source that is AMOLED adapted.

Samsung introduce a 7 inch AMOLED Digital photo frame at the CES-2010 event in Las Vegas. The Samsung 700Z Digital Photo Frame, its slimmest frame yet for displaying high quality images. The photo frame, a recipient of a Consumer Electronics Show 2010 Innovation Award, expands Samsung’s role as a leader in digital technology design and function.
Samsung 3D AMOLED Displays
Samsung show new 3D AMOLED-TV prototypes at the CES-2010. Samsung shows a 14 inch 3D and a > 20 inch 3D Display.
IceTouch mp3 player
Samsung introduce world first mp3 player with an 2 inch full color transparent AMOLED touch screen display.
Samsung IceTouchs display is a magically transparent screen that operates front side or back side. Have twice the fun from a two way viewpoint that is the definition of versatility. Night or day, the AMOLED technology makes Samsung IceTouch screen easy to watch and use anywhere.
Sony
Sony is showing new 3D AMOLED prototypes at the CES-2010. The display does have 24.5 inch and is 3D ready, and a really amazing picture quality and contrast. Sony says this is only a prototype there are no release date price or anything.
LG Display
LG Display introduce the EL9500 it is an 15 inch OLED TV Panel
LG Display told us that the Panel is a Water resistant Display.
Water resistant display opens up new posibilities of TV usage. LG Display want to introduce the EL9500 in the United States in the summer 2010. At the moment there is no date for the european market.
Nanobrick
Miyoul introduce media frames for luxury interior. The product is named Miyoul and the company shows us some samples at the CES-2010.

Asus
Asus shows at the CES-2010 a design concept with an OLED wristband, and a foldable Notebook also with OLED technology. The Asus staff told us that Asus plans to realize this devices with flexible OLED Displays. Asus want to introduce this products in the next 3 years.
The concept is called Waveface and it sits at the core of three exciting designs that combine already familiar ideas with more nascent technologies.

Designed to be worn around the wrist the Waveface Ultras OLED Display can be snapped flat for times when information needs to be viewied full.
OLED lighting at Digital Experience
At the Oled Association booth at the Digital Experience 2010 there are also some new OLED lighting lamp prototypes. Novaled shows a 10×10 cm self correcting OLED lighting array that delivers effective, efficient, long lived light, as well as a low voltage seven segment informational display.
