Osram introduce a new desk luminaire with OLED lighting panels.

“This luminaire should be functioning as a “traditional” desk luminaire as well as a desk sculpture, and a floor luminaire. Here we figured out is an important benefit of the OLED medium, OLEDs enable such different luminaires!
The technology OLED helps to create such a new generation of luminaires, the simplicity of a planar face which is emitting light is smart the ambient character and quality of the medium sets the standard. For OLEDOne we left most elaborate mechanics and gimmicks behind and decided for a multiple functional geometry within a sculptural form, emotional and simple. OLEDOne exists of an iron casted base and a plastic – based top, the ORBEOS OLEDS are fixed with an aluminum blade.”
