Sony, Samsung, and now Matsushita (Panasonic) announce to produce OLED-TV panels in the future.
Osakabe Akihiko, director president of Panasonic Plasma Display Shanghai (PPDS), recently stated that with Matsushita Electric Industrial having increased its stake in IPS Alpha Technology to over 50% by investing 300 billion yen to build a new TFT LCD plant, the company aims to grab 15% of the global flat panel TV market in fiscal 2008 while taking 25% of the over 37-inch segments.
Osakabe Akihiko announce also that Panasonic plans to begin OLED TV production sometime in the near future!
