We got the first pictures of the semispherical Diamond Mini Geo Cosmos from Mitsubishi at ISE-2012.
Its a section of the Miraikon globe which Mitsubishi installed in Tokyo.
Measuring 3m across, the screen is fully curved in three dimensions. The unique shape, combined with its 3mm pixel pitch and light output of 1,200 cd/m², creates an extremely striking display which is sure to create much interest among visitors to the RAI. The brightness of the PMOLED is 1,200 cd/m² the power consupmtion is 11.2kw on average and 22.3 at the maximum. The semispherical display uses 696 OLED elements, and each of the elements measures 32 x 32mm. The pixel pitch of each OLED element is 3mm. Because it is driven by the passive-matrix method, driver elements like TFTs cannot be used. The red, green and blue sub-pixels that comprise a pixel are arrayed like stripes. Its diameter is 2,700mm, and the thickness of its convex part is 680mm.
