RitDisplay Corp announced that the company is ready to mass produce 3.5 inch AMOLEDs on a a-Si backplane.
This is a major step to get cheaper OLED panels for smartphones, portable handhelds because a-Si backplane will be cheaper and easier to produce. Samsung mobile display produce their panels with LTPS technology. The 3.5 inch panel will be deliverd with a 320×480 pixel resolution.
In the past panels with a-Si backplens has some stability problems. But with Ignis AdMO technology there are no kind of stability problems.
