Samsung Mobile Display produce 8.9-10.1 inch AMOLEDs in Q1 flexible fabrication line ready in Q2 2012

Today we can show you some paper from Samsung Mobile Display (SMD) in that documents you can see all goals from Samsung Mobile Displays for AMOLED production in the future.
The important thing is that the 5.5G A2 Phase 3 line will be ready in the first quarter 2012. That means SMD can mass produce larger AMOLEDs for the Tablet-PC market. 8.9-10.1 inch Tablet-Pcs with AMOLED Displays can be possible in mid-end 2012.

SMD plans also the A3 production line for the second or third quarter 2012. This line is featured to produce flexible OLED Displays (A3 Flex-1 5.5G) The second flexible production line (A3 Flex-2 5.5G) is planed for second quarter 2013.

Also the goals for OLED-Tv are now clear, SMD starts a V1 Phase1 6th G8 pilot line in the first quarter 2012 to produce 55 inch OLED-Tv panels. The V2 Phase1 G8 OLED-Tv production line will be ready in the first quarter 2013. That means that really cost competitive large OLED-Tv panels from Samsung will be possible in 2013.

A 4.3 inch Super-Amoled Plus Display for the Galaxy S2 costs 50-55 dollars, a 3.7 inch LCD panel 38.5 dollars. The 7.7 inch Super-Amoled-Plus Display for the Galaxy Tab 7.7 costs about 150-170 dollars, and a 9.7 inch AMOLED 250-290 dollars.
