Samsung mobile display report a new record in OLED sales in the third quarter 2010. For the first time SMDs sales reached 1.272 Trillion Won (900 Million Dollars). SMD announced also a new margin record (134 billion won).
Thanks to the success of Super-Amoled and the Galaxy-S smartphone, Smd has reached this goal.
The new 5.5 gen plant starts the production in May 2011. After that Samsung can boost the AMOLED production.
The new OLED Panel production line starts mid May 2011 and boost the capacity from 3 million to 30 million small panels per month.
