Samsung Mobile Display (SMD) introduce a new 7 inch AMOLED Display at the FPD-International. The exhibition will be held during November 10~12 in Japan.
This new 7 inch OLED panel has a WXVGA (1200×600 Pixel) resolution.Samsung Mobile Display plans to sell this panel in 2011, the new 5.5 gen plant starts mid 2011.
Samsung Mobile Display want to introduce this panel for the booming Tablet market, so the next Galaxy Tab will be with Super-Amoled.
The new OLED Panel production line starts mid June 2011 and boost the capacity from 3 million to 30 million small and middle panels per month.
With this new capacity SMD can produce small to middle AMOLEDs for every customer. SMD promise every manufacturer can use SUPER-AMOLED! So Apple can also use OLED technology in one of there products in the near future.
