The vice president of marketing at Samsung Mobile Display Lee Woo-Jong says to Reuters that the glopal shipments of smartphones may grow 50 percent in 2010. In case of that also the AMOLED sales grow in the next five years.
Samsung mobile see a factor of 30 times to 600 million OLED units by 2015.Lee said its Super AMOLED operation was now trading above break-even point as strong sales have started offsetting years of massive investment.
Samsung and LG-Display are planning huge investments in new AMOLED production lines in the next 2 years.
