Samsung Mobile Display Vice President Brian Berkeley said that Full size OLED-Tvs are on the horizon.
At the DisplaySearch conference Berkeley says that Samsung is accelerating its development of OLED Displays, focusing on the size and volume rollout of OLEDS for the HDTV Flat TV market.
Samsung Mobile Display created the world’s only high-volume OLED manufacturing line (a Gen 4 plant in Cheonan), producing mobile displays starting late in 2008, SMD produce there millions of displays each month.
The Samsung mobile vice president also says that
the company is developing medium- to large-size OLEDs, and making huge investments in that. OLED is much greener than Lcds and also much better for 3D Television devices.
