Samsung introduce the OmniaHD I8910 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. This mobile phone is the world first with an 3.7 inch AM OLED Display with 360×640 pixels and 16 Millionen colours.
At the Mobile World congress Samung shows the OmniaHD with an Symbian S60.
The original Omnia runs Windows mobile, so there was a bit of surprise when Samsung revealed that the follow-up, the OmniaHD, would run a different operating system. Now there’s word that the upcoming version of this phone will also be available with Windows Mobile 6.5.
If this rumor is correct the Samsung OmniaHD won’t hit the market before the last quarter of this year, as Windows Mobile 6.5 is still in development and won’t be available until that time.
